More wine books, I could open a library! A slightly different set and focus from the previous set, do you recognise any?

As soon as you see, smell and sip this you not only think “Chardonnay” you also think “Burgundy”. Your brain then discounts Chablis and Macon on the grounds of colour, hue etc. Then, you remove any thoughts of Chablis and Montagny totally because of lower acidity and a quite different acidity and structure. My first guess would have been a Meursault but that’s not surprising since St Aubin is next door. And less than a km away is Puligny Montrachet, so at €22 in 2017 this was a real bargain.

How many wine books do you have and what’s your favourite? I have about 50 across paperback, kindle and audible formats. I’ll reveal my own top 3 next.

Lockdown relaxed in England now, vaccinations progressing splendidly, daughter arriving for an in-garden celebration. What better way to celebrate than with a Chapel Down English Rose, sparkling and award winning of course.

It seems like the first day of Spring here in England today with a temperature of 21 degrees signalling a time to sit in the garden. As a Buddhist wine drinker I decided to have my tipple of the day suitably approved. A @winbirri Bacchus 2019. Om!
